Mountain Restaurant

Our task was to finish the interior of a mountain restaurant of an iconic hotel Bjornson in Demänovská valley. We tried to reflect on the natural atmosphere of the place and create a material transition from the intimate forest apartments to the open space of the restaurant. As for the main element of the space, we chose massive trees which hide the metal-bearing construction of the building. The most challenging aspect of this project was creating an intimate atmosphere for dinners, events, or a night lounge with live music, in such a spacious interior.
